Balinese Dance is a traditional dance from Bali and often staged especially in religious ceremonies or events in Bali, Indonesia. Balinese Dance movement is highly patterned, from static to dynamic, from motion to static in iterative structure. Everything works harmoniously with traditional music called Gamelan.

There are various Balinese Dances, and the most famous are:

Legong Dance – a special dance of women that is identical with the life of Balinese women.

Barong Dance – a dance featuring a battle of a wicked witch called Rangda (a symbol of evil) with a sacred beast called Barong (a symbol of kindness)

Kecak Dance – this is a chorus dance between “Kecak – Kecak” and a man. This is the most dynamic among the 2 previous dances.
